This course focuses improvement of vocal techniques. Proper vocal technique in breathing, resonating and vocal placements are taught with training in pitching (hearing), diction, and phrasing. Individual styles of performance are also developed in this class.

There will also be a Live rectical for all vocal students after 3 months ( 20 half hour classes) at the Popstars CIty stage.

All vocal students can choose to sit for the ABRSM or Trinity Guild Hall exams for certification.

For several years now, Kids Performing™, Singapore's Premier performing arts school, has been providing one -to- one vocal trainning as well as group vocal classes for its signature courses. With the appointment of our new Musical Director, Terence Guillermo, alumnus of the Philippine Madrigal Singers - UNESCO Artist for Peace and the first and the only choir to win twice in the prestigious European Grand Prix for Choral Singing or what is known as the choral Olympics of the World, Kids Performing™ ventures into the challenging genre of choral music using  a fun filled and youth friendly  approach.  The choirs will be trained to perform in International festivals and competitions.

Every Saturday 10am - 12 pm
Fees: $180 per term of 10 weeks

This class is a group class, 30 mintues long and includes the following:

Music Rudiments and Theory
Sight Singing and Aural Training using external examination materials (ABRSM / Trinity Guild Hall ) as well as in house developed materials.

This class is taught by our Musical Director, Head Trainer:TERENCE GUILLERMO
TERENCE GUILLERMO, Kids Performing™'s Director of Vocal and Musical Theatre, produced and directed Kids Performing Repertory Theatre's maiden production, Narnia, the Musical: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. He has an extensive experience in choral performance and has been part of award-winning choirs including the world-renowned and multi-awarded Philippine Madrigal Singers –UNESCO Artist for Peace and the first and the only choir to win twice in the prestigious European Grand Prix for Choral Singing or what is known as the choral Olympics of the world.

He was a delegate and soloist to the 1st Asian Choir Games in Indonesia, and has won Gold, Silver, and Category Winner awards for the Philippines. He was also a delegate to the 1st Daegu International Choral Festival in South Korea, and Cultural Center of the Philippines’ 1st Philippine International Choral Festival and 2nd National Theatre Festival

This class is one hour per week and the class includes vocalisation and teaching of generic songs* for soloists. Mastery and clean up will be done duing the individual one to one vocal classes.

*Generic songs for soloistsare generally chosed from ABRSM and Trinity Guild Hall Prescribed Exam song list.  Genres inlcude:
